How it develops
Bergamot opens it with a bright, almost effervescent lift, but the sparkle is brief and functions mainly as a doorway. Rose de Mai, jasmine and ylang-ylang arrive quickly and bloom wide, rich and unapologetically floral, with iris lending a cool powdery spine. Clove, cinnamon and ginger warm the middle from underneath. The long finish is where the character sets: oakmoss and patchouli pull it earthy and green-bitter while benzoin, labdanum, styrax and vanilla melt into an amber-resin base over vetiver and cedar.
