How it develops
The opening is deliberately abrasive: blood orange arrives bittersweet rather than juicy, and black pepper and raw spice strike against it hard enough to sting. Lavender and wormwood take over next, pulling the citrus toward something herbal and faintly medicinal, with orange blossom softening the edges just enough to keep it wearable. From there it settles slowly into moss, cedar and white sandalwood, where tonka and amber round the bitterness into warmth without ever sweetening it outright.
