How it develops
The opening is spiced and only briefly bright: cardamom and pink pepper over bergamot, with heliotrope already pushing its powdery sweetness up through them. Bitter almond takes hold within the first half hour and becomes the spine of the thing, lavender lending a clean herbal edge while jasmine smooths the almond's marzipan tendency. The drydown carries the real transformation — vanilla and amber turn syrupy-warm as sandalwood and oud darken underneath, closing sweet, woody and faintly resinous.
