How it develops
It opens bitter and green: bergamot cut with wormwood and juniper, an astringent flash rather than a citrus welcome. Rose and cistus surface almost immediately, but the flowers work as a warm bridge instead of a heart, easing the arrival of cumin, cardamom and saffron. From there the composition descends — leather thickens, olibanum smoke curls through it, gurjum balsam and benzoin pour resin over everything. The long drydown is ambergris, patchouli and dry woods, sweet and skin-close.
