How it develops
There is barely a conventional opening — a flash of bergamot and lemon lasts moments before the sea arrives all at once. What follows is less a heart than a wall: calone and seaweed building a cold, briny, faintly metallic ocean accord, with hedione keeping it airborne rather than heavy. It then changes remarkably little for hours. Late on, musk, ambroxan and dry cedar surface beneath the salt, giving the marine mass something skin-like and mineral to rest on.
