How it develops
Coffee arrives first, dark and unsweetened, with the incense beneath it registering immediately rather than waiting for a base to develop. Within the opening the vanilla begins to climb, and the smoke it meets is warm resin, never ash. The middle is where the name earns itself: labdanum and benzoin melt the incense into something balsamic and rounded. The drydown is a long, low, sweet resin glow that settles into fabric and stays there overnight.
