How it develops

It opens sharp and tart: grapefruit and bergamot with petitgrain's bitter leaf-and-twig edge, lemon adding cut rather than sweetness, basil and elemi lending a savoury herbal snap. The citrus burns off relatively quickly, as citrus does, handing over to geranium's crisp rosy-green facet and a tart blackcurrant flicker. From there the composition settles low and clean, musk giving a soft foamy lift while vetiver holds a dry, rooty finish underneath.
