Ani opens green and sharply spiced, with ginger and pepper guarding a vanilla that takes an hour to arrive. Ani X swaps that gatekeeping for welcome: lemon, bergamot and melon make the first impression, water notes thin the density, and the vanilla comes forward sooner and lighter. The woods turn from creamy sandalwood toward cleaner cashmere and white musk. Cold-weather comfort becomes something wearable most of the year.
